NASPAA’s Simulation Competition: Winners Announced!

On Saturday, February 28, 2015, NASPAA hosted the inaugural Student Simulation Competition with a focus on healthcare policy. View the winning teams and their presentations! The case portrayed a student who obtained his first post-MPA job working for the state Commissioner of Health. He has been tasked with creating a balanced approach to reduce the per-person average health care cost, make the population healthier, improve the content and quality of care, improve health equity, and improve worker productivity. During the competition, students assumed his identify and completed 4 tasks with the help of simulation tool – the ReThink Health model – and created a solution that they presented to their peers and the judges at the conclusion of the day.
