Induction Instructions for Chapters and Students

Greetings Students Eligible for Pi Alpha Alpha:

If you attend a school with an active Pi Alpha Alpha chapter and you meet the eligibility requirements (https://pialphaalpha.org/member-criteria/) please read the following announcment:

  1. If you were invited to be inducted in the Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society earlier this semester by your advisor and you ALREADY PAID your membership dues to your advisor, please contact your advisor as soon as possible to confirm if your induction has been processed.
  2. If you were invited to be inducted in the Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society earlier this semester by your advisor and you HAVE NOT PAID your membership dues to your advisor, please contact your advisor as soon as possible to accept the invitation.  Your advisor will email you instructions on how to submit your personal invitation and pay your membership dues online.  Please note you will not be able to join the honor society nor pay for your dues, unless your advisor confirms your eligibity by notifying the Pi Alpha Alpha fufillment vendor.  
  3. If you have not been invited to join the Pi Alpha Honor Society, but you believe you should have been, please contact the Pi Alpha Alpha advisor at your school as soon as possible.  Click here to find your advisor:  https://pialphaalpha.org/find-a-chapter/

 

Greetings Pi Alpha Alpha Chapter Advisors: 

Please follow these instructions that will allow your eligible students to order their certificates, pins, and any commencement regalia directly from our vendor Kenneth E. Jernigan & Associates.

 

-> Option 1: Students pay for the certificates which will be digitally signed and mailed directly to the students.


  1. Chapter advisor: complete a copy of the order template and email it to orders@kenjernigan.com.

    1. Include in the order form:

      1. Faculty advisor and PAA Chapter Advisor name.

      2. Check the box next to Pre-print generic signatures.

      3. For address, say “Students will provide their addresses.”

      4. Fill out the rest of the form with each student’s name, email and degree program (e.g. MPA, MPP, etc.).

    2. Include in the email:

      1. Chapter Advisor Name

      2. Institution

      3. “These students will be ordering their own certificates.”

  2. Send your inductee students these STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS.

  3. The instructions will guide students through the order process at http://www.kenjernigan.com/Pi-Alpha-Alpha-Chapter-Orders/. They will be required to pay for the order and fill out their personal shipping information.

  4. Ken Jernigan will refer to your order template to verify the chapter information.

  5. Finally, the completed certificate will be mailed directly to the students.

 

Student certificates will not ship until they have been paid for. Emailing the order template to orders@kenjernigan.com serves as a reference, not an order.

 


 

-> Option 2: Students pay for the certificates which will be mailed to the school to be signed and distributed to the students.

      1. Faculty advisor and PAA Chapter Advisor name.

      2. DO NOT check the box next to Pre-print generic signatures

      3. For address, provide the appropriate mailing address for your school.

      4. Fill out the rest of the form with each studen’ts name, email and degree 

    2. Include in the email:

      1. Chapter Advisor Name

      2. Institution

      3. “These students will be ordering their own certificates.”

  2. Send your inductee students these STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS.

    1. THEY MUST USE THE SAME MAILING ADDRESS FOR THE SCHOOL.

  3. The instructions will guide students through the order process at http://www.kenjernigan.com/Pi-Alpha-Alpha-Chapter-Orders/. They will be required to pay for the order and fill out the school’s shipping information.

  4. Ken Jernigan will refer to your order template to verify the chapter information.

  5. The certificates will be mailed to your school.

  6. Have the certificates signed by the PAA Chapter Advisor and each student’s Faculty Advisor.

  7. Finally, distribute the certificates to the students.

-> Option 3: Your school’s PAA chapter pays for the certificates which will be mailed to the school to be signed and distributed to the students.

      1. Faculty advisor and PAA Chapter Advisor name.

      2. DO NOT check the box next to Pre-print generic signatures

      3. For address, provide the appropriate mailing address for your school.

      4. Fill out the rest of the form with each studen’ts name, email and degree 

    2. Include in the email:

      1. Chapter Advisor Name

      2. Institution

      3. “The school will pay and the students will provide their shipping addresses.”

  2. Go to http://www.kenjernigan.com/Pi-Alpha-Alpha-Chapter-Orders/

  3. Choose the PAA Certificate & Pin Combination or the PAA Certificate & Charm Combination option.

  4. Fill out the information for each student being inducted.

  5. Use the school’s shipping address.

  6. Complete the order and pay. The certificates will be mailed to your school.

  7. Have the certificates signed by the PAA Chapter Advisor and each student’s Faculty Advisor.

  8. Finally, distribute the certificates to the students.

 

Have the certificates signed before delivering them to the students.
